Recharge your batteries and recycle them too

Why not drop in to see us to recharge your batteries with some rest and relaxation, while recycling any old household batteries at the same time?

We now have a recycling point for dead batteries, old mobile phones and empty printer cartridges. The items will be recycled in aid of bibic, which is our Charity of the Year, and Musgrove Park Hospital Breast Cancer appeal.

Visitors to the salon are welcome to drop off the items when passing by. It would also be great if anybody coming in for an appointment has a quick rummage in their drawers for old batteries or a mobile phone that hasn’t been used for years.

Winter dry skin?

Are you suffering from dry and flaky skin this winter? We are offering people free skincare tips to help tackle common complaints during the colder months such as dry skin and a dull complexion.

At this time of year it is typical for your skin to become dried out, feel tight and uncomfortable and not look its best. People can pop into the salon, call us, tweet or message us on Facebook and we’d be happy to help and advise on any skin queries.

We support bibic

To celebrate the start of the new year we have decided to officially name Bridgwater-based bibic as our chosen charity for 2013.

We will be working with bibic throughout the year to help raise funds for its work. It is a fantastic local charity and we’re proud to support the work it does to help families and children.

Emma has profound dyslexia herself and that aspect of its work is very personal to us here at the salon.

Apprentice Alison

We are delighted to welcome Alison Bennett as our new apprentice at the salon.

We will be training her in-house and are confident she will provide a great service to customers and become an integral part of the team.

Alison recently received a gold certificate for achieving excellence in the In-House Intermediate Beauty Therapy Competition at Weston College.

WorldSkills UK

Emma won gold in the final of a prestigious national competition last weekend (November 17, 2012).

She became a gold medallist in the WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy competition at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

Emma is absolutely thrilled to have won the WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy category.

She worked really hard in the run up to the final and we're so pleased it’s paid off.

Emma has won a place in the UK WorldSkills squad and will now be training to compete in the international competition in Leipzig, Germany in 2013.

Tessa Munt MP officially declared our new beauty salon in Wedmore open last Friday (November 9, 2012).

We hosted an invitation-only party at the salon for local businesses, clubs and other key guests. It was a great opportunity for people in the area to get together and have a chat. It’s wonderful Tessa could come along to help us celebrate our launch.
